8" x 40 tooth SCOTCH PRIDE Saw Blade SCOTCH PRIDE carbide tipped saw blades are very fine quality at a very attractive price.
These blades all have 15° hooks for wood, formica, plastics, flakeboard, ply, masonite, etc.
They are not intended for aluminum extrusions.
For general purpose work, use 40 tooth blades.
For fine work, use 60 or 80 tooth blades.
Tooth Style Recommendations:
- #2 (TCG) - for fine cutting on plexiglass, formicas, ABS, laminated phenolics and "chippy" materials
Note: 60 tooth blades are recommended for sytrenes
80 tooth and .100 Kerf for thin plexiglass up to 1/2"
50 tooth and .125 Kerf for 1/2" and up
- #7 (ATB) - for easy pushing, fine cutting for plys, veneers, flakeboard, cross cutting, mitering or "stringy" materials with grain
- #11 - for the ULTIMATE in extra-fine, chipless sawing on all acrylics and formicas. (Available by special order only - contact us for details)
